Starlink Mobile spans 650 satellites and 22 countries

At Mobile World Congress, SpaceX’s Michael Nicolls said the first-generation direct-to-cell system — rebranded Starlink Mobile — has about 650 satellites, 16 million unique users, and 10 million monthly actives through carriers including T-Mobile, Rogers, and KDDI.

NASA slipped Crew-13 after a Dragon oxidizer leak

On 29 August NASA said it is adjusting the Crew-13 launch date to address an oxidizer leak on Dragon’s propulsion system, found in standard prelaunch processing. No new date yet. The crew remains Watkins, Delaney, Kutryk, and Teteryatnikov.

The last planned Falcon 9 Starlink from Florida left SLC-40 at 5:33 a.m. Tuesday. The pad is not retiring. The constellation is changing vehicles.

The Rosalind Franklin Support and Augmentation project is in implementation. The launch is late 2028 from 39A — likely SpaceX’s first throw at Mars.

Starlink hit 12 million subscribers at the end of Q2

SpaceX’s Q2 2026 results, for the quarter ended 30 June, put Starlink at 12.0 million subscribers, up 1.7 million in the quarter and double a year earlier. Connectivity revenue was $4.3 billion. Company revenue was $7.8 billion.
