Screen Australia's Toronto page is the household source for the Australian titles line. Under 2026 screenings it names five: Tenzing; Prima Facie; 2.6 Seconds; Kick On; Closing Night. Five is the count on that board. Festival programme announcements place Prima Facie as a United Kingdom–Australia Gala; Tenzing as United States–Australia Gala under Jennifer Peedom; Closing Night as Australia–Canada in Special Presentations under Cody Fern; Kick On as Australia in Midnight Madness under Nick Kozakis; 2.6 Seconds: Death in the Outback as Australia in Primetime under Darren Dale. Report those section homes as published programme geography. Leave unsourced "surely there will be more" talk aside.

TIFF: The Market is new formal architecture for 2026 — a film market running 10–16 September at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre while public screenings continue at the Princess of Wales, Roy Thomson Hall, Royal Alexandra, TIFF Lightbox, Scotiabank Theatre Toronto, and the Convention Centre's John Bassett Theatre as an added venue. Screen Australia's Market page quotes the festival's own ambition language about global film, series and innovation industries. For Australian producers, the TIFF: The Market Producer Delegation 2026 fund — Screen Australia with Ontario Creates — was built to push early-stage Australia/Canada Official Co-production connections, including a Co-Pro Matchmaking Day on 10 September and support to stay on for Market business. Funding rounds and application deadlines in that programme sat earlier in 2026; what matters for the calendar is that the delegation lane exists in the same week the festival opens.

Why the tenth matters on the autumn calendar. Venice's Mostra closes 12 September. TIFF opens 10 September — the festivals overlap by a few days, then Toronto carries the autumn conversation. What still moves during festival week: full Australian credit lists, exact screening times, and guest travel. If a title's public TIFF page is sparse, leave the cast list where it sits rather than borrowing names from a different festival. Prefer the Screen Australia screenings board and the programme announcements that cite section homes and dates. If tomorrow's wire adds another Australian short or co-pro, that is a fresh note — not a silent insert into this one. TIFF has a real peg: dates, Market, five Australian titles on the agency board.

Market versus public is the other clarity line. Buyers, financiers and producers haunt The Market floor and the matchmaking day. Ticket holders haunt Lightbox queues and the big theatres. Some people do both. Upcoming coverage for a general reader should not pretend a Market badge is a public ticket. Screen Australia's delegation money toward travel, accommodation, accreditation and the 10 September matchmaking day is industry infrastructure.
