Fortune's Weave is dated

Walk the listing the way a shopper walks a shelf. The capital is Dagsion, inside the Dagdan Empire. Worthy fighters arrive for the Heroic Games. One wish for the winner. Among the combatants: four heroes tied to the fate of the world. Nintendo's blurb is that sentence, almost word for word. Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda are the named four the trailers and store copy keep putting in the same breath. I'm not inventing a fifth lead for colour. Four heroes. Heroic Games. Dagsion. Write those three down and you've got the pitch the company printed.

The cart is turn-based tactics with a city between matches. Nintendo's page talks recruiting around town, Blessings at temples, training grounds, inns, bonds. Then the Games themselves — matches with rules and terrain that can change the board. That is the loop on the official site, not a preview score. If you've played Fire Emblem before, you already know the verbs: move, fight, support, survive. What's new is that those verbs now have a ship date eleven days out from today's Sunday note.

Intelligent Systems is the house that built Three Houses and Engage. Engage shipped in early 2023. Three Houses still sits on a lot of living-room shelves from 2019. Fortune's Weave is the next mainline cart on Switch 2, and the Direct coverage treated it as a return toward the Three Houses neighbourhood — Dagda on the map southwest of Fódlan, Crest talk, an older Sothis showing up in the trailers. Polygon walked that connection when the date landed. Treat the lore as colour from the Direct, not as a spoiler walkthrough. The filing fact remains: 17 September, Switch 2, pre-orders live.

Money on the shelf, because people ask. Gematsu and the Nintendo store line put the digital edition at US$69.99 and the physical at US$79.99. The Dagdan Collection — steel case, art cards, a map of Dagda, an artbook — sits at US$119.99 in the same Direct-week filings. GameSpot walked the same three SKUs for pre-order shelves. Those are United States list figures the shops printed. I'm not converting them into a fake local guess. Dollars stay labelled as dollars when the store prints dollars. The calendar and the machine come first.

Pre-orders opened when the date did. Nintendo's product page carries the pre-order note and the usual caveat that ratings and download size can still move before launch. Amazon, GameStop, Target, Walmart, and the Nintendo Store have all shown Standard and Dagdan Collection buttons in the trade press since June. Stock on the collector carton has wobbled — that's a shop problem, not a date problem. The date did not wobble. Seventeen September stayed seventeen September.

What I will not do is pretend a release-date trailer is a review. No score. No hour count. No "hours with each hero" that belongs to a preview column. IGN's later hands-on notes exist for readers who want the Blaze Arts talk and the path-hopping save system; that is not today's beat. Today's beat is simpler: a studio dated a game you can buy, the listing names the place and the Games, and the pre-order button works.

Switch 2 exclusive is not a rumour line. Nintendo's store and the Direct both say it. No PlayStation carton. No Xbox carton. No Windows date on the page. If you want Fortune's Weave on day one, you need the new Nintendo machine or a plan to borrow one. That is the hardware sentence, filed without drama.

Seventeen September is a Thursday in 2026. Eleven days from this Sunday note if you're reading on 6 September. Households that pre-ordered in June already have a download or a carton on the way. Households that waited still have a button. The Heroic Games pitch — fighters in Dagsion, four named leads, one wish — is the story Nintendo chose to sell the date. Film opens Friday; a game ships Thursday; either way the job is the same — put the square on the page, name the studio, name the machine, leave the review for the night after. Fortune's Weave is dated. Dagsion waits. The Heroic Games have a door with a number on it. Seventeen September 2026. Switch 2. Pre-orders are already taking money. No invented quote from Nintendo beyond the blurb the store already prints.

If you're coming from Engage, the wait has been about three and a half years. If you're coming from Three Houses, longer. Neither gap changes Thursday. The cart is the next Fire Emblem on the new Nintendo box, and the company put a day under it instead of another seasonal fog. That is enough for upcoming. That is enough for this Sunday. Seventeen September. Dagsion. Four heroes. The Games. Done.
