Battery and range are why the order spike matters. The EV pack is 115.072 kilowatt-hours — second-generation Blade Battery on Electrek and CarNewsChina. CLTC range reaches up to 900 kilometres on rear-wheel-drive EV trims, about 559 miles if you still think in miles, and up to 800 kilometres on all-wheel-drive EV trims, about 497 miles. Those are China light-duty test-cycle numbers. They are not WLTP and they are not a highway tank-to-tank promise. Why this is positive where true: a flagship Ocean SUV launched, priced in the low-to-mid two-hundred-thousand-yuan band, and took more than twelve thousand orders in a day. That is demand meeting a product. It is not a global delivery number. It is not a Europe homologation. It is China launch velocity on BYD's volume brand, measured in orders before the monthly tables catch up.
